Workspaces and roles
- One workspace per teamEvery upload, result, decision and export belongs to one workspace, and nothing reads across workspaces.
- Three rolesOwners and operators can upload, search and export. Viewers can look at results but can’t upload, search, export or change anything.
- Sign-insSign-in cookies are HttpOnly and same-site only, and they expire after 30 days.
- A full historyUploads, searches, company decisions, picks and exports are logged with who did them.

Files in and out
- Uploads are read, never runSpreadsheet formulas are kept as text. Password-protected or oversized workbooks are turned away before they’re opened.
- Do-not-trace comes firstA record or property on your do-not-trace list is never searched.
- Exports only contain your rowsEach file is built on request from your workspace, fingerprinted, and never cached.
- No surprise formulasAnything that could run as a formula gets a leading apostrophe.
Where it comes from
Data sources
- Contact dataFrom a licensed contact-data provider.
- Company recordsFlorida Division of Corporations public records, which the Division offers as free downloads for informational purposes.
- Do Not Call checksEvery US number is checked against the National Do Not Call Registry. A result is registry information, not consent to call.
- Card paymentsHandled by Stripe. Card details go to Stripe and never reach Locate.
- Screenshots on this siteSample data. The people, 555 numbers, example.com emails, companies and addresses are all made up.

- No cookies, no analytics, no trackingPages only load their own files, nothing from other sites.
- The tools run in your browserThe CRM CSV checker reads your file right in the page. It isn’t uploaded, stored or sent anywhere.
- Your theme choiceIf you switch between light and dark, that’s saved in your browser and nowhere else.

What Locate is for. And what it isn’t.
- Reaching property owners about businessFinding owners and the people a company named, so you can reach out about a property.
- Not a consumer reportDon’t use results to decide anyone’s credit, insurance, employment or housing.
- Outreach rules are on youCalling, texting and email rules apply to your campaigns, including do-not-call rules. Our DNC check flags listed numbers; it doesn’t decide whether a call or text is allowed. See the FTC’s telemarketing guidance.
- No outside audit yetOur automated tests cover the controls above. No independent audit has been done.
